Monkey See, Monkey Do, Monkey Light

Sometimes, all it takes to finish a room, or to elevate it from pretty to pretty unique is a singular object. I love sourcing and using really special lighting that may be hard to find, but so worth the hunt, the shipping, the convincing the electrician that, "yes, I'm sure that's what I wanted" and the end result. Case in point: this stunning hanging monkey lamp from Selletti. It's made of resin and hangs off the wall with a simple bracket, and uses one 25 W bulb. That it's a flat white finish makes it refined instead of kitchy, and hanging on an equally flat white wall (Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace) gives it three dimensional grace. Fresh during the day, charming at night. The dog was a little suspicious of it at first, but since the monkey is only seen and not heard, they've agreed to live in peaceful co-existence.
